Living and working in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. I have had the opportunity to learn so much in Writing field. I have been trained by a number of Journalism, Advertising and Communication professionals, which means I’ve had many different experiences that have built me into the skilled professional I am today. WORK EXPERIENCE

Managing Editor @ SRMG Media Group - Riyadh

November 2022 - Now

  • Creating an efficient editing process and managing it end-to-end.

  • Write, edit, copy-edit, and proof relevant materials, and provide feedback to writers in addition to editors and proofreaders.

  • Manage the editorial team, section editors and contributors and monitor the quality of writing and editing of all content across all platforms.

  • Identify areas of potential improvement, and work with individuals to realise that improvement

  • Create the editorial calendar, commission editorial content and (sometimes) be called upon to provide editorial cover or produce content yourself.

  • Work closely with editorial staff to manage freelancers (including photographers and writers) and freelance budgets.

  • Enforce editorial guidelines and brand voice across all platforms.

  • Deliver special projects and campaigns.

  • Ensure audience needs and website traffic goals are met.

  • Represent the title at events and panels where necessary.

  • Ensure the tone, direction, accuracy, and relevance of all content across a range of platforms (including website, social media, newsletter, video, podcast and events) by a team of editors and creatives.

  • Identify and implement new trends, technology and commercial opportunities that will help drive revenue, audience growth and engagement.

  • Build a network of freelancers, editorial contributors, columnists, and form steering groups for the sectors we serve.

  • Host webinars, virtual conferences, staff meetings and podcasts.

  • Lead all communication with the marketing department and assist in maximizing editorial and sales opportunities, while developing strategies, goals, timelines, and partnerships that help achieve business goals .

  • Cultivate content marketing strategies to drive traffic, engage, and build brand awareness within Saudi Arabia.

  • Ensure brand voice consistency across all content assets

  • Work with internal and external collaborators and creative resources to deliver content assets that are coherent with our brand voice and strategy.

  • Be responsible for developing Esquire’s Saudi Arabia activity calendar and aligning the execution with cross-functional teams.

  • Track and advance the editorial calendar, and regularly measure and refine progress results to apply data-driven insights to future content strategies

  • Build and monitor the success of a social media strategy for Esquire

  • Apply SEO, content development, distribution, and measurement to effectively tailor content to reach key audiences in the MENA region

  • Understanding the best content practices on each channel, develop & align digital and social content channels.

  • Create and edit both written and visual content, mobilizing storytelling opportunities on all channels — owned, earned, and paid platforms.

  • Build relationships with PR and clients and nurture brand awareness while gathering knowledge of category requirements
